I was very sad today to hear that Larry Carpenter has passed away. Larry was always so friendly and helpful, a real force of nature in the Oracle community. He came to the UKOUG annual conference many times, he was always a joy to spend time with. Thanks for everything Larry.

Since early 90s, I'm hearing that software engineers will be replaced by machines one way or the other. Since then, the demand for software engineers only exponentially increased. Builders will keep building, occasionally with newer tools.
