Thanks NWI Times for the wonderful coverage on my upcoming documentary on Jean Shepherd. I’ve worked hard on revealing everything I could discover about his genius & faults. It’s been quite a ride from day one at the Paley Center in New York when this film took its first breath.

After telling me his whole life story, I can honestly say, “I know this guy very well.” It’s growing up in Hammond, Indiana that allowed me to understand him. Complex? probably. Simple? usually the case. Fear of being forgotten? absolutely. Shep will clear the air waves in 2026.
