Very seldom does a good thing happen in public life by accident. Bad things can happen spontaneously. Good things must be fought for, every step of the way. Yet we appear determined to leave all the most important issues - above all the fate of the living planet - to chance.

Apparently the Sunak government is not remotely bound by the decisions of the Truss government. Hence the sacked Braverman returns six days later. So how about King Charles now goes to COP. Be good if the world saw a UK leader who cared about the environment.
