So incredible to be part of the National Constitution Center #NCCed Teachers’ Weekend First Amendment Seminar!

Excited to finally meet author and professor Ralph Young in person today! It was inspiring to learn from Andy Shankman. The @constitutionctr’s First Amendment Weekend Seminar has been incredible and we still have another day! I’ve learned so much from these dedicated teachers.

Incredible drawing, painting, and storytelling by students in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. Students were inspired by Duncan Tonatiuh ’s book Separate Is Never Equal. Use of watercolors and @EduProtocols Sketch and Tell strategies for the win!#Dissent

Just look at the talent in Room 20!!! Students choose how to show what they learned about a person or group who used the power of dissent to make change. Thank you Ralph Young Dr. Ralph for inspiring our students! #ChoiceAndVoice

Working with Center for American Civics at ASU on their Civic Literacy lessons has been extremely rewarding! Our team created lessons aimed at increasing civic knowledge and ensuring students could pass citizenship tests. Look Dr. Scott M. Petri and @EduProtocols! Fast and Curious for the win!

What a great experience! Thank you National Constitution Center and Sarah Harris for amplifying the voices of teachers!

Inspired after the AMLE Conference. I had the privilege of joining a panel w/ the National Constitution Center + enjoyed presenting w/Sarah Harris on one of my passions: Civil Dialogue. Middle school is often underestimated, yet this conference showcased just how pivotal these years are.
