Re the Minn shooting: If a reasonable person would conclude that the ICE officer who shot was in fear of his life, the shooting is lawful. If not, it is unlawful. An eye witness says the victim was ordered to move on. If she was following this order, ICE may have a problem.

It is part of CBP training to never stand in front of an occupied vehicle for very obvious reasons. Moreover, firing a gun in a residential area with members of the public present is not protocol & is inherently dangerous. Everything about this stinks.

Alex Pretti was shot by CBP agents, not ICE. CBP have special rights under INA 1952 to police a zone up to 100 miles in to the interior. Beyond this, their extended rights do not prevail. This impacts the legality of their actions with Pretti which are already questionable.
