Displacement of local traders is treated as a necessary byproduct of 'regeneration' by developers. But as we continue to see in Elephant & Castle this process wreaks emotional & financial havoc on those affected, alongside a social & cultural loss for the local community

Meanwhile Space was always absolutely terrible at 'managing' this space. Traders and campaigners said when the plans were announced that it would not attract enough footfall nor be a suitable site for kiosks. Sad that traders felt they had no choice but to give it a go!
