- final comment on this day: please don’t be the person who stoops to the “farmers are whingers” line, when good, smart, informed humans are simply trying to do their best to stay viable & continue production of food & fibre. It’s such a tired, shitty sweeping statement to make.

A random strange man trolled me today & implied cost of living is because women are too busy getting hair & nails done … ?? The poor fella clearly doesn’t understand some of us care NOT one bit for materiel possessions nor “hair & nails” ….. My COLC is down to animals 😆

As another RUOK day rolls around: if you've got a mate who you know **isn't** okay and who you know has a silent battle with alcohol going on, please ... just go sit with your mate over a cuppa or a zero-alc beer. Let him know it's #OK2SAYNO.

Men. Mental health. Alcohol. I’ve spent a decade repeating the same request. But it’s always better for our bush me to hear it from other bush men. Thanks, Matty. Love you. Appreciate you.

Overcoming trauma and an addiction to alcohol, alone, was the hardest thing I ever did. I literally guarantee you know someone who is facing their own demons, or battles, when it comes to booze. Please let them know they aren’t alone anymore . They can join our group any time.

I might be in my 50’s now, but I’ll most likely always be the adult on the floor with the animals at any given opportunity 😆 Also : check the sheer SIZE of this blue pup … it is mind boggling how big he is and how fast he is growing !!! 👀 Love that Boggabilla bloodline.

Big snake 🐍 outside this arvo. Thank GOD I spotted Daveo acting oddly & called the dogs in immediately. Ugh 😰😰 I don’t hate snakes - but I HATE them near the house and near my dogs !

After 4 years living in our family’s church house, we’ve now shifted onto the little farm block (nearby) which we’ve spent a year working to get liveable . I will forever hold the most treasured love and memories of this precious tiny home 🏠 we call Christina Cottage.

Them : get a Garmin 300 for tracking your dogs on the mountain, and as a safety device. Easy as! Me : it is NOT easy 🤭😵‍💫 Geez I loathe learning and setting up new technology….. Like I struggle so damned badly with patience on this stuff. I am my father’s daughter …

Flashbacks to this time in 2022 when I was one of 10 Australians who were chosen to attend the funeral of HRMQEII. Gosh…. that was a big, big year. It was good, and it was also one of the most exhausting experiences of my entire adult life.

Random query time! Do I know anyone with PTSD and/or a service dog who would be willing to chat about it? I’m writing a novel that touches on a bunch of mental health topics, but this is an area I don’t have personal experience in and I’d love to give it the care it deserves.

There’s only one thing better than a blue heeler. And that’s TWO of them 😎😎 Tuckered out after many hours running around today. Mallee Girl ever so kindly decided to share her stick, and her bed, with Daveo.

When is swooping season over again? 🤔 Damn, this little fella is FIERCE and absolutely relentless. I’ve tried all the things, but he is not buying any of it. Hopefully once the babies are on the ground we can move into the friend zone 😂😄

The most common feedback we get through the charity is from rural blokes who feel totally excluded because the majority of mental health events / BBQs / workshops, etc, are grog-focused. It's pretty easy to fix. Add alternatives & make your invites about mateship, not grog.
