It was a slow afternoon in the deer stand, but the Chickadees kept me entertained.

The wind changed on me early this morning, so it wasn’t a surprise I didn’t see many deer. At least the birds didn’t disappoint me.

They heard Thanksgiving is this week so they are heading for deep cover.

It was a wet morning hunt but these guys were right on cue.

This big old doe looks like she is going to make it another year. She always goes nocturnal in the early fall. I added the young buck in the video for a size comparison.
