One of the best parts of teachings are the unplanned moments. The mistakes that are made, lessons that fail and things that come out of student's mouths that just cause you to pause. Each day is a new adventure. Embrace these unplanned moments!

So excited #proud2bMPS students across the district are coloring my designs! Just remember to DO kind things - the act of being kind to others is the most important thing. #BeKind

#BeKind to yourself. Put your oxygen mask on first. It is much easier to be kind when you take care of yourself and the world needs you to be the best version of yourself. Today, take a moment and put your oxygen mask on first.

So thankful for the blessing of “working”with these people. It doesn’t feel like work when you love what you do and the people you work with. ❤️👍🏼

Teacher retention: if you want to keep the best teachers, treat them like they are the best. Few teachers leave an environment where they feel valued, supported, appreciated, and treated like professionals.

It is extremely important for educators to work on their mental & physical health right now. Whether school is in person or virtual, we are dealing with stress that we have never encountered. Take time for yourself daily/weekly - read, walk, rest, spend time with loved ones.

The student sat in my office this afternoon and told me: “I have a hard time trusting people.” I was reminded that there are many kids who have been burned by the grownups in their life. They desperately need the adults in the school to be someone they can count on.
