Super excited to share the preprint of my first project for my PhD with Nandita Garud. We find that hard sweeps are enriched on the X chromosome compared to autosomes in D. melanogaster. tinyurl.com/hardsoftX (1/n)

Thus, understanding the differences in the tempo and mode of adaptation between the X chromosome and the autosomes may enable a deeper understanding of how important phenotypes arise as well as its role in speciation, sex specific selection and sex-biased demography. (n/n)
