Absolutely lovely to see Shahzia Sikander's Havah on the Appellate Courthouse, on a tour led by Judge Moulton and his law clerk. The building opened in 1904 with 30% of it's construction budget devoted to art.

Shahzia Sikander talked about how the circular dome of the court house became inspiration for the girded skirt of the Havah sculpture in Madison Square Garden. You see the incredible details of the stained glass echoed on the intricate mosaics of her work.
