We were delighted to award this student his medal for achieving the title of National Champion in NJIRC 2025. He rowed 869 metres in 3 minutes to place 1st/1142 athletes. We are incredibly proud of our rowers for their hard work, commitment & determination. Congratulations!🥇

We had our first rounders fixture of the Summer with the year 9s starting off on a win against KEVI. It was a well-matched game with us only taking the victory by 1 rounder. Well done #TeamSGS 💚💛

Congratulations to our U13 Spring Cup rugby team placing 2nd after going unbeaten in all but their final match. It ended with a well-matched game against Charnwood, who scored to go 1 try ahead of us in the last 15 seconds, meaning it was silver for #TeamSGS. Well done all!💚💛

Huge well done to our inter house table tennis competitors🏓 Newton🔴took the win in both girls events whilst Tennyson🔵were victorious for the boys. Reward points have been awarded to those involved and form tutors will award green/gold stars to form boards. Congratulations👏

Thank you to Hannah from East Midlands PDA/@britishrowing who attended SGS to Talent ID and test our year 9 students. The sessions were fantastic as students learnt the correct technique before completing the 7 stroke max test and finished off with some fun relay races.🚣

TeamSGS competed in the ESAA Track & Field Cup. We are proud of all our athletes for their performances in their events, especially our Inter Boys team who placed 3rd! 🥉 We’re excited to continue our preparations for the DRET Summer Cup in PE lessons and at our clubs.

Well done to our student Erin-selected to take part in the 2nd phase of the British Cycling Talent ID Testing at Derby Velodrome. Erin took part in the 1st phase at Derby in April, after passing the testing day at SGS in February. The 2nd phase are fast-track sessions over Summer

More student recognition! This student competed at the World Cheerleading Championships held at ESPN Orlando Florida. Alongside her team, she won 1st place and achieved division champions.🥇👏

We were privileged to host the year 5/6 county netball final Skegness Grammar School. Well done Copthill Independent Day School 2-11 Years taking the victory! Thank you to our wonderful young leaders who helped us. You demonstrated fantastic umpiring, scoring & results inputting skills to ensure the competition ran well.👏

Congratulations to those who attended the Regional B final of the Track & Field Cup. We saw some incredible results with lots of personal bests achieved- 2 PB’s in high jump, one in javelin, triple jump, hurdles, 100m, 800m, 1500m & in the relay to finish with a win. Well done!👏
