After fighting for years for on-site childcare, I’m deeply disappointed at how AAEA has handled this. We were told we’d get 3 years of on-site childcare starting in 2020 as a pilot. We figured it would take time for people to learn about it and trust it as an option.

It seems the word has gotten out that using fitted values from first-stage nonlinear models can be useful as instruments in a linear-in-parameters "structural" equation. They can improve asymptotic efficiency and help, a bit, with weak IVs. #metricstotheface

Oh other thing. Reviewers are quite often wrong about things. It's OK. We're all wrong sometimes, especially when we only spend a few hours on an airplane while jetlagged. But given that there's a reasonable chance you could be wrong, maybe work in some humility/uncertainty.

Approximately 30% of consumers wrongly interpret "best by" dates to indicate food safety. And most of them also will ignore sensory cues (food smells and looks "normal"), and discard food that is past the date printed on the label.
