Using industry data to provide the scientific understanding needed to underpin good environmental management. New paper just out from the Australian SERPENT Project team Dr Paul Thomson
Marine environmental monitoring is critical for effective management of human activities. A new review of autonomous approaches from the SERPENT Project team. Focus on #Decommissioning but relevant to other sectors and industries.
Thanks to all who tried their hand at image annotation on our "Eyes in the Deep" stand National Oceanography Centre #NOCOpenDay19. We found 18 different species in the ROV survey acquired especially for the day. Some highlights include a Wolffish (Anarhichas lupus) and Tuskfish (Bromse bromse).
The #DeepOcean below 200m water depth is the least observed, but largest habitat on our planet 🌎. A new review in Frontiers - Marine Science highlights the history, status, challenges and future directions to advance global deep-ocean science. Paper >> bit.ly/2Ic7cGP
