Beginning Wednesday, May 25, our own WPS Nutrition Services Department will begin serving "super snack" non-perishable meals at 18 locations.

Our partners at Meddys will be providing free lunch for students 11:30 am-12:30 pm Monday, March 23 & Tuesday, March 24 at Marshall Middle School, Mueller Aerospace and Engineering Discover Magnet, Jardine STEM & Career Explorations Academy & Truesdell Middle School. Meddys

Beginning Wednesday, March 25, our Nutrition Services department will be serving grab-and-go lunches at 18 locations around Wichita. Serving times are 11:30 am-12:30 pm. Monday through Friday.

Wichita Transit is offering free rides to any WPS student and guardian(s) to and from one of our school meal location sites between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Be sure to show school ID. More info on routes can be found at wichitatransit.org @WichitaTransit

I wanted to reconfirm what she shared – we will offer paper packets AND resources online during phase 1 learning which occurs next week. These resources will be available for all of our students in order to maximize opportunities for all kids.

Parents of Pre-K to 8th graders: Week 2 packets for students will be mailed or available online. To receive the Week 3 packet & beyond, you must OPT IN at bit.ly/wpspackets by 3 p.m. April 9. If you have already accessed the packets online, you do not need a print version.

Starting Monday, April 6, we will begin serving free grab-and-go meals on Mondays and Wednesdays. On Mondays we'll distribute two breakfasts and lunches, and on Wednesdays we will distribute three breakfasts and three lunches. To see a weekly menu, go to usd259.org/menu

The district will be offering a social and emotional support hotline Tuesdays and Thursdays 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to give parents guidance and resources for supporting their student’s social-emotional learning and behavior issues.
