Pl consider this postdoc position in our applied micro group - a very dynamic, interactive and supportive group of roughly 15 people! Let me emphasize that I have loved every (just checking whether that's true 😅) single day of being at U Konstanz since I started in April

I had been waiting for this: first census-based estimates of intergenerational mobility for Germany, measures as relation between parental income and the children's educational tracks! Fantastic work by Dodin, Sebastian Findeisen, Henkel, Dominik Sachs and Paul Schüle. Thanks!

The effects of workplace digitalisation are well studied on workers’ wages and economic inequality. But how does technological progress affect workers’ health? Sebastian Findeisen, Stephan Maurer & Oliver Schlenker review new evidence. blogs.lse.ac.uk/businessreview…

25% of German firms provide childcare (on site!). This seems to provide retention benefits to firms: mothers are more likely to return to work AT the firm they were previously employed at. (It doesn’t seem to affect the return to work decision overall)

Why isn’t there a central webpage, whereby all job market candidates can upload a link to their papers, websites & topics? Departments could then search for desired specialisms. This would be a fantastic public good, Expanding on the initiative of Jennifer Doleac.
