A question for skating fans, especially of Hanyu Yuzuru, Asada Mao, Kim Yuna. what is it about these superstar skaters that made you be their fan? I’m curious what makes super stars over other famous skaters. is it their results or something else? please share! thank you!

My non-skating friend texted me “the commentators on NBC Entertainment talk too much, (not Peacock ) it’s quite off putting” Well if 1 thinks that maybe many more do too…that could be one (of many) major reason many people don’t want to watch skating anymore….😬

Not that anyone asked, but in my opinion commentary should be short and to the point, complimentary or straight forward, not negative or over analytical. People want to enjoy the performance of skating, they don’t care if a jump is “cheated” they want to see people land or fall.

Watched the pairs on Peacock and props to Ashley Wagner and Ben Agosto for commenting well, they kept the comments short, and just let the skaters skate and did full explanations at the end during bows, replays, waiting for scores! Bravo!!!

Worlds Positive Thoughts: 1) Kirsten Moore-Towers and Chris best commentators! 2) Incredible to see completely sold out crowds for every event! 3) The new high-tech style boards and k&c were great! 4) Team USA delivered 💪🏻🇺🇸 5) The sportsmanship was top tier and made me proud of my sport!
