Still seeing some great birds too - Boat-billed Heron, Amazonian Kingfisher, Rufous-Tailed Jacamar & Black-Capped Donacobius. Also had our first hummingbird too - Gilded Sapphire

The Giant Otters were the main attraction on this morning’s boat trip in the Pantanal with Oriole Birding

This afternoon’s Pantanal boat trip brought us two more Jaguar sightings. The same pair as yesterday sleeping and a male hunting before swimming across the river

A transit day today heading to the northern edge of the Pantanal, but still saw or heard 105 species including Roseate Spoonbill, Golden Green Woodpecker, Scaled Dove & Southern Screamer

Other great birds included Undulated Tinamou, Red Crested Finch, Bananaquit, Yellow-Chevroned Parakeet and Green Ibis

Owls & Raptors were well represented with Great Horned Owl, Ferruginous Pygmy Owl and our second Crane Hawk of the week

On the non-avian front, a Tiger Rat Snake, lots of impressive Caiman, an Azara’s Agouti & a very interesting bees nest. Also saw Six-Banded Armadillo & Whip Tailed Lizard. Another packed day.

Yesterday was an excellent day for mammals - Crab-Eating Fox, Azara’s Capuchin, Coatimundi & Azara’s Agouti. Also saw Brown Brocket Deer, Capybara & Black Tailed Marmoset

The birds weren’t bad either with another Great Potoo, Long-Tailed Tityra, Toco Toucan and one of the Hummingbird species, Glittering Throated, I believe

Also got a chance to see a local festivity in Pocone with a cavalcade, which was wonderfully colourful & chaotic

A few from yesterday in the Chapada dos Guimares. Amazonian Motmot, Red- Shouldered Macaw, Red & Green Macaw, Chaco Eagle

And from today, we have Burrowing Owl, White Eared Puffbird, Laughing Falcon and a spectacular waterfall where we had River Otter and Capybara

And to our final destination- Trilha dos Tucanos deep in the Atlantic Rainforest near São Paulo. The birds are even more colourful - Violaceous Euphonia, Chestnut- Bellied Euphonia, Green Headed Tanager and Black- Goggled Tanager

Also Yellow- Legged Thrush (the bully of the feeders), female Ruby-Crowned & Olive-Green Tanagers and a male Olive- Green Tanager. Also saw our fourth Tapir of the trip. Tomorrow promises some great birding

Other birds seen included Crescent-chested Puffbird, Robus Woodpecker, Chestnut-breasted Toucan and Blue Dacnis

Also Maroon-bellied Parakeet, Mantled Hawk, Magpie Tanagers and Saffron Toucanet. A truly memorable day finishing again with the Tapir joined tonight by two Paca (large rodents). Long journey home starts tomorrow evening

Our last morning gave us Surucua Trogon, Yellow-Fronted Woodpecker, Red-ruffed Fruitcrow & Blond Crested Woodpecker. Other highlights were a male Festive Coquette, Black & White Hawk Eagle, White-shouldered Fireeye. A great end to a great trip

This tournament could be the starting point of the next great Chelsea team. What a performance tonight! And some exciting new talent arriving for next season too
