All five volumes of Club2HD Positive have been scanned and uploaded. This was a Japanese zine that ran for a few years in the mid to late 90s covering early game emulation, copiers, piracy, and all sorts of interesting stuff. gamingalexandria.com/wp/tag/zine/

Illustrator Lawrence Fletcher passed away last month according to his sister. He did many game illustrations from the late 80s to the mid 90s, especially for the US branch of Vic Tokai, starting with Clash at Demonhead. instagram.com/larsvision/ artstation.com/larsvmd Thread⬇️

As you may know we've kicked off our Typing Taskforce for preserving old type in games from mostly Micom BASIC magazines. With our Patreon funds we managed to grab ALL the early unscanned issues as well as some missing 1986 LOGIN's. THANK YOU SO MUCH PATRONS!

Really cool Nintendo history: This is a flyer from WCES, Jan. 1987. This was the announcement of both Zelda and Punch-Out!!, which did not yet have Mike Tyson attached. At the time ALL packaging used the "black box" design from 1985, so they mocked the two games up with it.

In 1997, Maxis revealed a new version of SimCopter for the Nintendo 64. Two years later, it disappeared. We found out why...and we found a copy of the game. gamehistory.org/simcopter-64/
