This week AquamarineEPS have continued their enquiry into the phenomenon of light with this weekβs lesson focussing on how we see objects. π‘π π With the absence of light, the children understood practically that it wasnβt possible to see objects.
AquamarineEPS continued their learning around the phenomenon of light. They looked at how light reflects off of a mirror and created their own periscopes to prove this and look around corners π π‘ βοΈ #STEAM #Science
In science today we investigated how friction affects speed. We planned and then carried out an investigation using different materials Elaine Primary
We have really enjoyed comparing the nutritional value of some of our favourite foods. We could identify the nutritional labels on some of our packaging from lunch time ScienceEPS
AquamarineEPS are engaged in using flowcharts to test and debug a simulation. Well done everyone for being creative with the way you are coding to generate novel visual effects. #coding #wonder #criticalthinking #resilience #purplemash #computing Computing at Elaine
We are using our science learning to complete the poster! We were able to find information in our books, on our learning lines and on our working wall. ScienceEPS
We have enjoyed our science lesson this morning, thinking about how nutrients and water are important for the plant. We observed some of the plants in forest school and drew them ScienceEPS Elaine Primary
Today we have set up an experiment to show how plants transport water. We made predictions using our current understanding and canβt wait to check them soon! ScienceEPS
Today in science we have been exploring light and dark. We thought about what happens when there is no light and what light sources we know ScienceEPS Elaine Primary
AquamarineEPS are using their mathematical skills to begin planning out their lunar theme park! ππ’π‘π #STEM #mathsinaction Elaine Primary ScienceEPS
In Science this week, we have been investigating the effects of water, no water, sunlight and no sunlight on the growth of our sunflowersπ» Elaine Primary ScienceEPS The Inspire Partnership
We have enjoyed thinking about how we can change our shadows in Science this week. We started off our lesson recapping what we already knew completing our knowing more, remembering more Elaine Primary ScienceEPS
Today we have been investigating how to make our shadows bigger and smaller and exploring the effect that changing the angle of the light source has. The Inspire Partnership ScienceEPS #science #light
AquamarineEPS created informative scientific models to illustrate the vital components of blood as we study the circulatory system within our animals including humans unit. Elaine Primary The Inspire Partnership ScienceEPS #STEM
