@schubertcalc

I am a mathematician who studies Schubert calculus. Though I have a day job that is unrelated, I am actively researching in the field and publishing.

I realized that in order to do better I need a reasonable way to compute individual inverse Kostka numbers. It's always something

Okay, AI is definitely getting better. This is kind of vague, but it's mostly correct, which is a lot better than what I would have gotten three years ago

Wikipedia made me realize I can already compute the inverse Kostka numbers efficiently in a different form. With my new knowledge, I went back to the problem, and...it's not quite all I need. #$!

Thinks the "science" proves his point, whereas what these statistics show is the difference is a coin toss at best and no conclusion can be drawn from this data he is presenting as proof

Why isn't Hamas releasing the hostages? Can someone please explain what they hope to gain? "But the children are starving in Gaza" "Israel is bombing hospitals" I know, terrible shit. But why haven't they released the hostages?

Extraordinary justification is needed. "Israel is unjust..." "They occupied territories..." That doesn't justify kidnapping people. You're kidnapping civilians and hoping to use them as leverage? Go f yourselves. You get what you paid for

Getting into the details and expressing my algorithms as formulas has already been useful. Even with cancelation the formulas are worthwhile because it at least makes it tractable

RIP Tom Lehrer. I always keep your sage advice in mind. To advance my math career, I have made sure to plagiarize. I poison pigeons in the park on Sundays. I only write naughty words on walls that I know how to spell. I aspire to be as fantastic a mathemusician as you were.
