And if you go online and think, "Hmm, that team is bad at sprints/distance/etc. I can get $!" Nope. Means that coaches strategically are not investing $ in area (so other areas can be good). In college if area is poor, likely NOT due to coaching, it's due to little investment

Today I got my first ever coaching paycheck. It doesn’t sound like a big deal, but after grinding through undergrad, grad school, and 2 years of coaching for free, working way too many hours & constantly struggling to make ends meet, I’m finally making a living doing what I love.

So to anyone out there who’s barely scraping together enough money to get by, constantly working and sacrificing their personal life, and gambling on themselves by going after their dream career... don’t let anybody discourage you. Keep channeling your passion into productivity!

One thing to remember during championship time when you know you are extremely fit. Stop being overly concerned with how you’re feeling. Feeling good is an unimportant factor toward success. Many incredible performances have been achieved by athletes that felt absolutely horrible

If you’re a teacher or a coach and your favorite part of your job isn’t the relationship you form with your students/athletes, you’re in it for the wrong reasons. The lives you influence every day are a whole lot more important than any content area or sport.
