I tore tendons in my leg and was in agony for weeks. Paracetamol, Aspirin, Ibroprufin, Co-codamol, the tablets the doctor gave me... none worked. In the end my Chinese wife lost her temper and said, 'Why doesn't the doctor just prescribe you muffins?' Why not, indeed.

Just finished The Mountain in the Sea by Ray Nayler. Brilliant book. Thoroughly recommend. But I reckon there's a minor error on p373 of my W&N edition.
