Day 9 BFI #LFF & I've been informed I'm about to go through an emotional rollercosater.

I guarantee you will not see a film like Retreat BFI #LFF . Its a distinctly unsettling genre movie completely made In BSL which makes you decide who you should be siding with. Director Ted Evans has made something unique and important here.

Never have I been to a BFI #LFF screening that is so emotional as The Voice of Hind Rajab. Total silence during the credits, many of us (& me) in pieces after watching this astonishingly powerful film. If you're going to another screening let me warn you now-It will destroy you

A lovely hour Selfridges at the Frankenstein exhibition. Amazing models, costumes & insights relating to the film. There's a listening gallery as well & you are given spoiler warnings before going in if you haven't yet seen the film. Cant wait to see it BFI #LFF in IMAX later.

Frankenstein BFI #LFF is so visually spectacular it knocked my socks off. Only Del Toro could remake it that good. And the film belongs to Jacob Elordi who has never been better as the creature. Tks to BFI Imax for this exclusive poster as well.

Wow. Christy BFI #LFF had people standing & cheering & I think the applause lasted for a good 5 mins. And quite rightly so. Its phenomenal. A very Brutal story of boxing & domestic abuse, Sydney Sweeney surely must be nomination for an Oscar & Ben Foster's Jim is so creepy. 5*

8 films to go in my 2025 BFI #LFF story & after my final visit to RFH for Die my Love this morning, its off into Leicester Square for Saipan Prince Charles Cinema & The Stranger and It was just an accident Curzon Soho On a bit of a roll with good films at the mo, so hope it continues.

Die my Love BFI #LFF . Two words - bloody brutal! Jennifer Lawrence's most intense performance yet, very visceral & a tough watch.

Just seen this BFI #LFF . Very enjoyable & interesting insight into the story.

As the old phrase goes, all good things must come to an end, so today is that last day of BFI #LFF & I have these 4. Only fitting I spend most of the day at the home of the festival, so I'll be there from 2.30ish onwards to say thanks.

Got to Leicester Square early this morning & was gonna chill in Curzon for a bit as my 1st LFF film isnt till 12.15. But noticed there were previews of a new kids film at 10am? Who am I to say no? When in Rome eh? I'll now be doing my 600th film in the cinema this year later!

From what I saw (the first 100 mins) of Giant BFI #LFF I loved it . But once again, even at their 1st screening of the day, the Vue ran 10 mins late & I had to leave to make my next film, which normally would have had lots of time for. Fortunately it's getting a release soon.

Was hoping to find a little hidden gem over the last 2 days of BFI #LFF & how fitting that my 600th film on the cinema this year was just that. What Marielle Knows is a delightful very funny comedy that looks at hidden secrets. Totally charming.

So this is it. My final film of BFI #LFF 2025. Its been an adventure.

Tks to BFI for a great #LFF adventure over the last 12 days. A few comments & suggestions of things that could help next year. Did this today as I was so annoyed with the late start of Giant at the Vue & caused me to miss the last 20 mins as I would have missed my next film.

So, BFI #LFF is done. 30 films seen & the quality i think was higher than last year. Only about 5 i didn't gel with. Great to hang out with so many lovely people especially Stevie at #LFF vickster51 Saw Things Mal Jutley Dave McAllister Suj / culture & so many others. Here's my top 12

So now it's time to start on BFI #LFF films I missed. Got the following lined up before the end of the month: After the Hunt The Mastermind Roofman Springsteen Bugonia And hopefully (if I can find somewhere in London showing it) - Hedda.

Absolute Love to Genesis Cinema for being one of the few places to show Hedda in London - A film i was desperate to see BFI #LFF. Looking forward to seeing it Next Wed before another #bartrash night.

My list of films I've seen at the cinema more than once this year is getting longer (and weirder!). Only 4 of these were my own choosing. I guess that's the game when you book Mystery Movies.
