Coillte wants to assist foreign investment funds to buy 250,000 acres for Sitka tree plantations and avail of €1.3 billion in public forestry grants.

100 people joined a protest against vulture fund involvement with Coillte called by the #SaveOurForests alliance on Fri. We can't let huge swathes of forest be sold to profit-driven vulture funds. We need a forestry agency that acts as guardian of our forests for the common good.
