Everyone is so surprised how many nurses aren’t vaccinated, but considering the types of girls I went to high school with who are nurses now, I honestly just can’t say I’m surprised.

"We need students to do their part." Rich coming from university administrators who have eliminated physical distancing on campus. They have a part to play, too, and it's not shaming students.

Please stop quoting the FB statistic of 99.8% survival for Covid. In Mississippi, the mortality rate is 2.2% of all cases. If you're sick enough to be in hospital, it's 14.9%. If you're sick enough to be in ICU, it's 34% and if you require the ventilator, it's >63% mortality

I can't believe that we've got people out here who actually think our COVID policy should be: "We don't have to worry about COVID, because it'll only impact you if you're immunocompromised, elderly or have a pre-existing condition"...Where has our humanity gone?

No matter how tired we are of exceedingly minor inconveniences like obtaining freely available vaccines and wearing small pieces of fabric over our faces when out, COVID is nowhere near done with us.
