Okay but their chemistry was great an an actual multi-Doctor story with the two of them would've been so much fun. But alas, it's not RTD1 nostalgia pandering, so it was never gonna happen!

i absolutely hate disliking doctor who and i ESPECIALLY hate disliking a regeneration. because for me, regeneration really resonates with me, like, gender-wise? so it’s one of my favorite aspects of the series. but this whole era has just ground me down man.

Anyone who wants to experience the dynamic we THOUGHT we were gonna get between the Doctor and Belinda but with actual strong writing behind it needs to listen to the Big Finish audios with the Eighth Doctor and Lucie Miller.

To me, the most important moment of Capaldi's regeneration scene is that final line - "Doctor, I let you go." It perfectly encapsulates what regeneration is all about. Letting go. Moving forward. The RTD2 era fundamentally fails because it *can't* let go of the past.
