The Santa Cruz Police department launched their drone in the are of the Boardwalk to search for a reported suicidal subject. The search covered the Main Beach and shoreline but yielded nothing. The drone is down and there is no threat to public safety.

Santa Cruz Police Department deployed a drone at Hwy 1 and Shaffer Rd for a crime in progress. The incident is now resolved.

SCPD launched the drone in the area of lower Pogonip to assist officers in locating a victim of a possible domestic issue. The drone assisted responding officers and the victim was located. There is no threat to public safety and the drone has been retrieved.

The SCPD deployed the drone (UAS) on the 500 block of Cedar St. to assist in locating a subject in distress. The drone flight is complete.

At approximately 0045 hours, SCPD officers were involved in a motorcycle pursuit that originated in the city and moved in to Scott’s Valley. The drone was deployed in an attempt to locate the suspect after he fled. Suspect is outstanding and drone is now back in service.
