Two people were stabbed in San Jose during a carjacking Thursday afternoon, at Kooser Road and Hillsdale Avenue. Police said both stabbing victims are suffering from life-threatening injuries. The suspect also struck a pedestrian while fleeing in the carjacked vehicle.

Two San Jose men have been arrested for the death of a San Jose man found in Discovery Meadow park in September 2021, police said today. William Jones, 37, and David Barraza, 30, both of San Jose were arrested late last month for killing Wayne Ham, 41, of San Jose.

A 65-year-old female bicyclist was killed Tuesday when a tree branch fell on her in Roop Road northof Leavesley Road in Gilroy, the California Highway Patrol said. Emergency crews treated her at the scene, but she later died at the hospital. Her identity was not released.
