Today 2C discussed the Explorify question... Have you ever grown seeds or plants? After talking about our experiences, we did a 'walk and talk' to share 'What would happen if..?' questions. We can't wait to investigate! #HYE22 @SandringhamE7 #PriSci

Year 2 have loved observing germination of different herb seeds using magnifying glasses and microscopes. We put some in a dark cupboard and found out that seeds don't need sunlight to germinate #PriSci #WeAreScientists @SandringhamE7

Science club loved taking part in the RSPB #BigSchoolsBirdwatch today. We saw a lot more birds than we expected and used our close observation, identification and data recording skills #CitizenScience #PriSci #WeAreScientists @SandringhamE7

2C had a great start to #BSW23, making #connections at Forest Gate Community Garden. We planted seeds, used our maths skills to make tally charts of the plants we spotted, and saw the frogs and frogspawn in the pond #WeAreScientists #PriSci @SandringhamE7

Earlier this year as part of the Primary Science Quality Mark, we created our science vision & principles as a school. We're really proud of these and use them as a shared language for science. Watch this space for the results of the mascot competition! @SandringhamE7 #PriSci #WeAreScientists
