I think this Olympics is excellent - well apart from the ridiculous introduction of mixed boxing - tremendous competitions, large enthusiastic crowds, partisan yes but also knowledgable and apprecative of others performances. Realy enjoying it.

Didn't the @BBCOlympic say they were covering every minute of every sport. So why have I spent half the day trying to find coverage of the cycling road race and only found snippets. If I had known coverage was to be so limited I could have gone and done other things.

Unusual cause and effect - I have been a Sheffield United fan since the age of 11, basically because I couldn't swim when I went to secondary school.

I have been watching football all my life and I realise I don't understand the rules. Watching Newcastle v Forest. Newcastle have just been awarded a penalty for hand ball. The ball hit the player's elbow when he had his back to it. I do not understand how that is hand ball.
