Wonderful session in Nairobi with officials of the State Department for Crop Development of the Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock Development. We discussed activities of the Food and Agriculture Organization #MAFAP programme in Kenya, including the upcoming assessment of the National Fertilizer Subsidy Programme (NFSP).

They hence need proper policy support.

Increasing per capita animal protein intake should be proportional to a healthy diet requirement. It takes more policy support and consumer education.

Thrilled (and thankful) to have participated in this important workshop and explain to the Global Environment Facility (GEF) FSIP Africa country partners how the Food and Agriculture Organization PolOpT tool will support policy optimization for policy coherence.
