In this project, a new approach is developed to maximize heavy oil recovery by: Hot Nano fluid injection followed by steam injection

Steam Injection, is considered an enhanced oil recovery (EOR) method #1

that adds heat to the reservoir to expand the oil-in-place and reduce it viscosity. #2

and provides a driving mechanism to sweep the heavy oil toward production wells. #3

Nanotechnology is used in this project, which has several applications  in petroleum industry such as heat transfer . #1

it modifies the fluid properties by increasing the heat transfer to enhance the heavy oil recovery . #2
