Had a funny feeling when she was getting on plenty of Willies 2nd strings towards the end of the season, starting from the festival

Great rides by Moore and Crowley. I’d say Murphy and Keane would like that race back, albeit the Curragh is underestimated how tricky it can be to ride

Reckon there’s a good chance that horse chops and changes between a mile and mile & a quarter races this year. Guess the logical next step would be the Eclipse, but come the end of the season I’d say there’s a fair chance we see him in the QEII

Now that’s a Ryan Moore classic. Recognised straight away he’d have to use to much horse to get to the front. Get to back then and you can actually come down the outside with plain sailing (so important at Epsom if you can’t get to the front)

They used to call Simon Rowlands a bluffer when it came to sectionals and striding. With all due respect to Kevin Blake, Simon was by far the first to flag up striding’s importance in the media (and people scoffed of course)

Stanhope Gardens and Delacroix will end up being the best of these — both at a mile & a quarter probably. Was a big fan of TLIW last year, but until we see something different this year, the jury is out IMO.

Purely from a selfish POV, I am very happy Lake Victoria didn’t run yesterday. Had her in an each-way treble with Trawlerman and More Thunder after the Guineas. That would have been an absolutely sickening watch, had she ran and won yesterday

Biggest takeaway I have from the Pretty Polly is the Coronation Cup might be the strongest piece of middle distance form this season. 10+ lengths quicker than the Oaks, with the front 2 both able to go faster in each of the final three furlongs too.

Anyone that follows me knows I’m a big fan of the Delacroix, Stanhope Gardens form line but this still surprises me. A classic winner by WB, in the first all-age middle distance group 1 of the season (clash of the generations etc.) — they must not rate CP at all.
