Big news from ACT today. Widespread availability of online testing will significantly change how students test and prepare. #act

Kaplan's Sam Pritchard says the ability to retake an individual #ACT section will likely alleviate some stress going into test day. Students may opt to retake portions of the test several times, but this approach won't likely become the norm. bit.ly/31ZdYqO

Stunning surveillance footage captured the moment a high school coach in Oregon disarmed a student with a shotgun and then embraced him. Police eventually arrived and took the student into custody. abcn.ws/32vC3pq

This is sobering and compelling data that I hadn’t seen displayed this way before, especially when so many future jobs will require post secondary education. At #CBForum shared by Dr. Jonathan Mathis.

Each day the evidence accumulates. We should be spending more time outdoors. Being outside: - Boosts our mood - Improves our immune system - Protects against depression. getpocket.com/explore/item/j…

Just listened to this episode and found it fascinating! So true that educational solutions that are great for a subset of students are often assumed to be deficient since they don’t work for everybody. Better to celebrate the progress and keep searching for solutions for others.

Survey: 36% of admissions officers look at students’ social media. As Sam Pritchard says, “I think many universities believe that they’re getting a more unfiltered view of the students when viewing that student’s Facebook profile or Instagram..." bit.ly/2vM6tZ2
