Based on Liverpool's net + PSR position, and assuming profit for 24/25 (expected) then using the example of a ยฃ20m profit, plus allowable deductions and ยฃ105m PSR limit, LFC could still lose more than ยฃ200m in 25/26 and be PSR compliant after Isak, Wirtz, Kerkez, Frimpong and GM.

If nothing else, the fact Liverpool can drop ยฃ170million on new players, then still bid/spend a further ยฃ120m-plus, in a summer *after* winning the league - with no recent equity injections or any PSR shenanigans - should serve as huge vindication of how FSG have managed finances

Football finance expert Kieran Maguire: "Liverpool are a super smart football club. "They're in an incredibly strong PSR position. Out of the traditional big six clubs, they've spent the least in this three-year cycle - only ยฃ325m - and that includes their signing of Wirtz."

Itโ€™s not savings, itโ€™s been invested in other areas. Two Anfield redevelopments and a new state-of-the-art training complex. Now complete, Anfieldโ€™s bringing in more revenue and overall income is rising. Liverpool are in a fantastic position, very few clubs can compete.

Transfers for Elliott, Morton and Doak are ramping up, with expected income around ยฃ80โ€“85m. We're essentially swapping the three for Wirtz. #LFC

Newcastle going from โ€œnot for saleโ€ to a price tag is a game changer. ยฃ150m? If LFC sell Diaz, Nunez, Elliott, Morton, Doak, Tsimikas, Trent, Kelleher & Quansah for a expected ~ยฃ275m (mostly pure profit), LFC can afford ยฃ150m Isak, ยฃ40m Guehi + ยฃ80m Rodrygo ๐Ÿ‘€ #LFC #Isak

Isak joined Newcastle for 63M in 2022 from Real Sociedad having got 6 goals and 2 assists in 32 league games the season before he left. And it was worth it.

Liverpool are spending a fixed fee of ยฃ240m on Frimpong, Kerkez, Wirtz and Ekitikรฉ. Four great young players who are already performing at a high level and have massive potential. ยฃ60m each, an absolute bargain! #LFC #Ekitikรฉ

Liverpool are currently contesting a behind-closed-doors friendly with Stoke City at the AXA. They lead 4-0 at half-time thanks to a Darwin Nunez hat-trick and Rio Ngumoha goal. Florian Wirtz is taking part.

Liverpool's 'summer of madness' is delighting its fans in equal proportion to upsetting rival supporters. Once the Ekitike deal is concluded, transfer fee outlay will hit ยฃ260m- with further expensive incomings expected. This thread explains how the club is financing it.

Minor thigh injury that doesn't show on scans and still allows him to train individually but is serious enough to rule him out of their pre-season tour?

Whatever happens, this feels like a bit of payback for what Newcast.. sorry, I mean PIF, did back in 2023, when they waited all summer until just days before Newcastle hosted Liverpool to create turmoil in the LFC camp by bidding for Salah. Sit down, know your place. #Isak #LFC
