PS. The pain bothers me that much I have asked my specialist about amputation many times over the last decade. He said I’d still have the same pain in the form of phantom pain. So it would be pointless.

Amazing that you can be a NAVY seal veteran with 788 hours of flight time, and racists will blame a rotor blade falling off a helicopter after your death on the color of your skin.

If people tried to learn a bit about aviation they’d not need to scream like this. This is minor in the aviation world. Often easily addressed by reducing throttle and if all fails, shut it down and come back around on your other engine which it is perfectly capable of doing so.

It is technically an emergency, but it’s so common and harmless it really just looks worse than it is. It’s literally just the engine stalling. There is no active fire per se. What is aimlessly screaming going to do? The pilots will see on their instruments + feel the stalling.

If I saw this I’d be finding it fascinating and also annoying as I know I’m being delayed for hours whilst we come back around and they have to find a replacement crew and aircraft. I know I’m in no danger. Enjoy the light show!
