In 1970, two workforces went on strike: the bin workers and the bankers. The bank strike lasted for 6 months. The bin strike? 6 weeks. People barely noticed that bankers had stopped going work. Not so much when the bin workers stopped.

Literally nobody is going to care if the bankers go on strike. Plenty of people care if the binmen go on strike.

Striking this Labour MP doesn't talk about the consequences of austerity. Nor the mass transition of public resources into private capital. Nor the lack of council homes. It's "judicial oversight." It could have come direct from the mouth of Donald Trump.

I know the Argus dragged me for saying this but I actually genuinely believe that Labour is a shit party with a shit leader. They are some of the worst people alive and I do wish to see their party destroyed. Solidarity with all the trans and gender nonconforming people's ATM.

When in The Green Party we talk about Gaza or taxing the super rich, there's often one person who asks "why is this a Green issue?" The same forces who are protecting wealth and power (& the military complex) are the same people that are destroying our climate & nature.

As a Unite member I'm happy to pay towards the bin strikers. I'm less happy paying money to a union that's perpetually cucked by the Labour Party.

I've said this for ages, Labour will only listen when the Greens take an almighty chunk out of them. And the time is so incredibly ripe for that. Cannot wait.
