Not a cheerful film for a Monday night, but “I’m still here” was a good watch and a fullish theatre for a change

Missed the Manchester gig on Friday but managed to go along to the Palladium tonight and say goodbye to Fish

Gene Hackman has passed away at the age of 95. Gene was one of the greatest actors of his, or anyone's generation. He was a powerhouse, as adept at comedy as he was drama. Today is a very sad day, we've lost a legend. Gene was a giant of cinema. R.I.P Gene Hackman

Happy Birthday, Jack Nicholson A Few Good Men (1992) Jack only worked on this movie for 10 days and absolutely nailed it. Incredibly, his Colonel Nathan R. Jessup appears in just three scenes consisting of 20 minutes of the 2 hours and 20 minute running time. Jack is amazing.

Some people hold the fabric of the world together, and when they're gone we all suffer a little. Robin Williams was one of those people.
