A quick dash out to see the Caspian Tern at Kilvington Lakes, a well deserved find by Edmund Staunton. Unsurprisingly, looks like the touring 2cy most recently seen at Eyebrook Res and Rutland Water over the last couple of days.

Two things are certain in this world: death, and dashing down to Holme Pierrepont because Alan Clewes has found a rare tern. Hunting back and forth right in front of us this evening. What a crazy run of Caspian Terns Notts is having - annual since 2021, including 3 in 2022.

Even when the early morning birding isn’t rewarding. It’s amazing to see the wildlife we get on my local patch Attenborough Reserve Here are some photos and videos from throughout this year so far. Notts Mammals Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust

The returning adult male Caspian gull ‘George’, probably not a 100% pure bird as lacks some Caspian features, a large bird sat on one of the buoys on sailing pit. Thanks to simrob500 for help with the ID. Notts Birdwatchers Attenborough Reserve
