Something I love about the NBA is the variety of colleges the guys come from. WNBA leans so hard into certain schools. Times are changing though & I really think kids are much wiser about fit & development than just saying hey, UConn/south Carolina it is.

Criticism can be a powerful motivational tool! P had a D1 assistant coach 1 year ago say she’s probably D3 (had an SEC offer already🤣). Had a club coach tell her no D1 will build an offense around a 5’7 PG. Several d1’s planning just that. Gas on the fire!🔥

If you have to pick the PG up high because of their efficiency shooting with range, & your PG can shoot off the bounce on the move, the high ball screen will break down the defense fast & efficiently making everyone’s job easier. Quick great shots for the team!

Funny thing about this, I actually agree for the most part. As a coach though, I’ve always been P’s toughest critic by a mile. She wants to play in the league so she’s going to be pushed, critiqued every day! If her goals change, so will how I coach her.
