The Baikal teal showed well at Greylake this morning, 2 Common Cranes flew over, Water Rail and loads of calling Cetti’s. A warm morning and starting to feel like spring 😊

The Channel Wagtail showed rather nicely on my way home from work across Tealham Moor this afternoon. 5+ Wheatear and 4+ Yellow wags the only other migrants of note

Right place, right time today at Ham Wall, when Sean Davies found a Whinchat and Redstart at Ham Wall. Great birds for the site, with the Redstart being a first for the reserve for me. My personal HW/Shapwick list now stands at 157 species

Cracking few days locally in Somerset, with the AGP and Gull Billed Tern both 2nds for me in the UK. It’s been a little while since I’ve seen either, so nice to reacquaint with both species

Amazing day in Kent with Pagan Birder and Ann. Yellow Warbler ✅, LEO and SEO, Firecrest, Bearded Reedlings, Peregrine etc. Dipped the Scops and got locked behind a gate temporarily in the car. An eventful day!

Nice to catch up with the female RFF behind Durstons peat works last night. Happy to confirm my possible i had over head on Wednesday 30th from VP2 as this bird, with it being seen from the Avalon hide on Friday morning. Glad it was finally pinned down so others could see it!
