Over the weekend I got the chance to go with the scouts up to Crowders Mt. for a backpacking trip. Little did I know that weekend I would be hiking 15 miles in 3 days to help the scouts earn their Backpacking merit badge!

Had a good day at Walter Elijah Park in Fort Mill for Palmetto Mornings with Lucas McFadden, Ashley Lang, and Chris Miller! we got the chance to preview the South Carolina strawberry festival and speak with many amazing vendors and organizers about the festival!

It was an honor to see Allan Miller, Manning Kimmel, and OTS being honored by the Palmetto Council as distinguished citizens! The work they have done for the community is amazing and I can say that the local area would not be where it is today!

Had a great time at the UCI BMX World Championship with Palmetto Mornings! I got the chance to hear from some amazing professionals and I truly cannot wait to see more of BMX racing!

Earlier this past week I got the chance to meet actor Gary Sinise, who played Lt. Dan in the hit movie Forest Gump! He was in Fort Mill gifting a veteran a new wheelchair accessible van thanks to the Gary Sinise Foundation! What a fantastic man and foundation to give back!

I got the chance to visit with, Swimmer Riley Gaines, while she was in Indian land bringing her message of defending women’s single-sex spaces, advocating for equality & fairness, and standing for women’s safety, privacy, and equal opportunities!

Recently, Winthrop University announced its new head baseball coach, Mike McGuire. At a recent press conference I got to attend, McGuire shared his thoughts about the move and how he plants to make the baseball team even better. I can’t wait to see where this take Winthrop!
