One constitutional functionary, PM attired in Maharashtrian Topi, and the other,CJI in saffron kurta, doing Ganapathy pooja together. And the PM tweeting it in Marathi on election eve.And they want us to believe it is a private affair. It is an affront to constitutional values.

As I argue here, by performing religious rituals with the Prime Minister, and allowing this to be recorded and publicized, the Chief Justice of India diminished himself, his office, and the judiciary: youtube.com/watch?v=HdCqh-…

The judicial travails of Umar Khalid who languishes for 4 years in jail w/o bail or trial. This in a case where he has been arrested on patently absurd charges. A huge blot on our judiciary

Lt Gen H S Panag(R) Agree entirely. What's disconcering is lack of long term view/plg. Same has happened with the Arjun. Demands of services (often outlandish) far outstrip tech capabilities of DRDO - constant disconnect between user & producer. Imagine in 75 yrs we're unable to produce a rifle🙊

Kuldip Sindhu Lt Gen H S Panag(R) "Imagine in 75 yrs we're unable to produce a rifle." That, sir, is the true measure of our capability. Unless we determine the root causes for that and correct them, all talk of AMCA, SHAMKA, is just that - talk.

swill not survive the next war: * If your Commanders from Platoon to Corps are unable to see their area of responsibility in real time. * If you are emitting electronic signals from your own location. * If your tactical drills are to employ troops larger than a platoon/troop

Choice of new name for Port Blair is intriguing, since Srivijaya was a Sumatra based Buddhist empire. In 1006 CE, Indian Emperor Rajendra Chola I mounted a maritime invasion & devastated Srivijaya. Have we again missed a chance to celebrate maritime prowess of the Cholas?

Trump: "So when India, which is a very big abuser... he happens to be coming to meet me next week.....and Modi is a fantastic, fantastic man. A lot of these leaders are fantastic...these leaders are the sharpest people, not a bit backward, but at the top of their game…."

I endorse the view of Col Ravinderanath who in his younger years was my student. Our combat training is seriously flawed. Hence soldiers cannot perform to their potential in battle. In such a situation leaders have no option but to lead from the front. They pay the price for not
