You can hear the excitement in my voice knowing that, whilst the end was not quite in sight, it was very near at the #OtterTrail Run – a nasty surprise was in store at the bottom. I can also confirm that it was 2.8 and not 2 kilometres from the top to the finish. #RunSouthAfrica

After a long day of haunting, Pennywise was looking a lot more tired than in 2024. Some might even say that he was feeling a little… drained!😊 The metal grate has also disappeared. And I really hope no one stole Pennywise’s balloon because that is asking for trouble!

Marathon #289 (unique #178) completed at #RedStarMarathon. Survived 11 laps around the track & that was the easy part of my day... Currently have 14 teenage girls at our house for my youngest’s birthday party (the souped up exhausts of the race cars were significantly quieter).

Exercise caution or caution while exercising? Julian’s biggest fear when running on Red Star Raceway was that the hairpin bends with curtail his free-flowing style. We’ll probably never know what Julian looks like in a ponytail as his wild stallion of a hairdo has yet to saddled.

Pit Stops are indeed vital during marathons but when it comes to urgently pulling into the pits, I am more of a "drop and go" than a "sip and snack" customer. For the record, I was on a one-stop strategy during the #RedStarMarathon. #RunSouthAfrica

This sign was translating as rude in my head during #RedStarMarathon. However, in motor racing jargon, “box, box” means “come into the pit lane now.” Having said that, if🇿🇦does get F1 GP I imagine that the Afrikaans commentators may well herald Max Verstappen in with “box, box”.

If you saw flames during #RedStarMarathon a firefighter was there to help. There was no gold at the end of the rainbow & there was never going to be a gold medal for me at end of race either. The closest I got to a pot of gold were the plentiful bananas at the support tables.
