A real honour to thank Steve in person for his 23 years service as a Crime Scene Investigator across Yorkshire & Humber 👏. I also got to visit Whitby for the first time ever 😱. No time for The Magpie Cafe or Whitby Abbey this time but I’ll definitely return with family.

Today I received photos from my Long Service and Good Conduct award presentation. I’m in my 23rd year, still love the job and very proud of what my wider team of forensic colleagues achieve together every day. 🎖️ oh and I’ve not changed a bit!

I do like dropping in to CSI Training Team as there is always something interesting going on! This time I found out CSI Technical Team undertaking an Inter-Lab Comparison (ILC) exercise with an EMSOU CSI from Derbyshire, working together to maintain and improve quality standards👌

Today we had the pleasure of hosting young adults with learning difficulties who are undertaking an internship with West Yorkshire Police as part of DFN Project SEARCH HQ to prepare them for future employment opportunities. They will make great colleagues in the future.

Another City & Guilds Forensic Collision Investigation Module 1 complete. Final exams sat yesterday and 8 delegates from Northants Police, Surrey Police, Northumbria Police and bases across Yorkshire & Humber left our FCI Training Centre for further development. Mod 2 in January!
