An inspirational morning at Royal Society Te Apārangi’s #hepitomata with our early career researchers. Through Te Ara Paerangi – Future Pathways, I am committed to reducing career precarity & developing clear pathways for the research leaders of tomorrow.

Sereana Naepi Vinaka Sereana Naepi ❤️ my heart is full. Humbled by the support, the hugs, the songs, the blessings that enveloped me. Who/m do I work for? It is us. It is those that came before me, those whose voices are excluded & for those yet to come. The #mopheads are here to stay.

I always get re-energized when I meet these wonderful people. They: appreciate and understand diversity, help ECRs in NZ thrive, speak on their behalf & never stop advocating. I'm happy to be part of this GROUP Royal Society Te Apārangi tnx 4All Dsupport AgResearch Sereana Naepi

Love having convos about Te Tiriti & powersharing, especially with Pākehā who are excited (not traumatised) about the idea. Takes courage & imagination. Grasp of facts. Here’s a longer version of me & Rob Campbell on Te Ao with MOANA 1/ e-tangata.co.nz/korero/rob-cam…

A big shout out to Chlöe Swarbrick whose insightful questions at the select committee hearing helped shed light on the plight of the post-graduate researchers in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Today's the day e te iwi! The virtual whare is open from 9.15am for a 9:30am start. Details about how to join us are in the registration email but we're available via [email protected] if you need a hand. And for those last-minute registrations: kanapu.maori.nz/#registration

An important reminder that immigration rules might also affect a worker’s ability to engage in collective action. @Leila_FAS rational_geographic

Our own Louise Hennessy was doing the mahi advocating for early career researchers - and making us proud - at the recent #HePitoMata conference; thanks to Royal Society Te Apārangi for the images ECR Forum (NZ)

A great article hitting some important points we are discussing in the Royal Society Te Apārangi ECR Forum ECR Forum (NZ) Sereana Naepi Louise Hennessy
