No one on my tl talking about the loss of Colin Powell today. This man served his country well and will be missed. He was never afraid to “cross party lines” and speak truth to power. I have always admired his approach to public service.

Once when I was in Germany waiting for takeout from an Afghan restaurant, the owner brought me a cup of tea with red currants and orange peels. It was cold outside and the tea was hot and delicious and the memory makes me feel as happy and relaxed as I did in that moment ❤️

I can’t believe this little mans was left to die on the side of the road 🥺
