A Terribly Serious Adventure, by Nikhil Krishnan, is terribly seriously disappointing. Sticking only to the obvious figures of oxford philosophy, but only giving brief and occasional mention of Collingwood, Cook Wilson, or Prichard.

Until very recently I believed the color Ultramarine blue, was named after the Space Marine Chapter, rather than the other way around.

The beautiful irony about this book, while being very humorous, and irreverent against literary snobs, is that it is actually about the very point of reading at all. Moreover it is accessible to and a essential for even first year undergrads.

Wiley officially closes the Journal of Political Philosophy, which was abandoned by its editorial team and shunned by academics after Wiley attempted moves that would have compromised the journal's editorial independence. dailynous.com/2025/07/28/jou…
