The court previously ordered the reinstatement of former Alqosh mayor Faeiz Abed Jahwareh, who was also unlawfully deposed by the Nineveh Provincial Council and replaced by KDP member Lara Yousif. Jahwareh has yet to reassume office, as Yousif is appealing the court's decision.
